Where to eat in Cape Town

Earlier this year, I was approached by the publishers of the race magazine for the Cape Town SPAR Women’s Challenge. The brief? Share my favourite places to eat in the city.

I was given carte blanche to include any establishment or place I wanted. As I had a word count to adhere too, it did require a little extra thought on what I considered to be the best of the best.

I’ve also included two bonus, honorary mentions at the bottom of this post – for Open Door and Pot Luck Club, who had to be left out of the original article due to space constraints. Some of these spots I’ve loved for years, and a few have been more recent discoveries. So, without further ado, my favourite places to eat in Cape Town.
