Not-quite-mellow yellow

I’m all about wild floral print, maxi dresses and bright colours this summer.

And, needless to say, this dress from Isabel de Villiers ticks all the boxes. I spotted it at an event at Convoy a while ago – tried it on once, it was too long, I had second thoughts. But then, the potential for non-buyer’s remorse hit harder, and I took the plunge. Thankfully Isabel took 5cm off the bottom of it, so I could live out my summer-sandals-and-hat fantasy – and, here we have it.

This was from a previous season of Isabel’s, so it’s unlikely you’ll find it in store at the moment, but I would suggest checking out her current collection here – there’s always a piece or two that I want to add to my cupboard, and I’m sure you’ll find something, too. (The laser cut maxi dress is a personal favourite, and available up to size 48).

Spot any other dresses that have caught your eye as we head into summer? Leave me links in the comments below – I don’t need an excuse to expand my collection.
