My love affair with dresses doesn’t seem to be going anywhere soon.
First, is a bit of a statement white dress. I originally saw it on Spree and was tempted, as I thought the cut would be quite flattering, but not knowing Leigh Schubert’s sizing (S/M/L/XL/XXL), I was a little unsure. I saw it at the Space, tried on a Large (as a size 16), to my surprise, and fell in love. Perfect for evenings or in-between days, with it’s 3/4 sleeves, it is a bit of a head-turner. It’s also quite heavy, so falls beautifully.

I saw the below dress from Poetry online, from their summer season launch, and couldn’t get it out of my mind. Wandering around Cavendish one afternoon, I spotted it in real life, and its fate was sealed, so to speak. Warning: You can’t go back once you try your dream dress on. Well, I didn’t buy it immediately – because, it was still quite an investment at R1 600, but, I couldn’t stop thinking about it, and less than 24 hours later I returned to make it mine. I’ve worn it a few times since and have received so many compliments – 100% sure I made the right choice. Hayet is wearing a similar style in red from Asos Curve.
It’s dressed up here with heels, but I’ve also worn it with pumps and a cardigan for a more laid-back wine farm visit. Planning on trying it out with sandals and a denim jacket soon.

No matter what style you’re looking for, a LWD (Little White Dress) is a cupboard staple you won’t know how you’ve lived without.
